I made these three objects, a shovel, a pot and a cart on maya with a texel ratio of 2.56 px/cm. I then gave them a resolution of 512x512 for the shovel and the pot and a resolution of 1024x1024 for the cart. I then went to Photoshop to paint the texture. In the end my shovel has 998 triangles, my pot with 1260 triangles and finally my cart with 3768 triangles.
This exercise comes from a work of learning, of maya, UVs and textures which was really interestings.
